This is an old drama but lately I do enjoy watching old dramas, since LOBS finished I couldn't really find a mouth watering drama, except The Starry Night The Starry Sea, I still watch the other dramas but not really follow them in order. 

Here we have the handsome lead, the evil boy of The Starry Night, The Starry Sea, (yup I discovered him in The Starry Night) this guy is the flesh & blood chaebol that we see in dramas and he is as hot as hell :)) too bad that he’s already taken. Helllooo can you please leave us some guys don’t take all :D Xièxiè

I admit when I was watching The Starry Night The Starry sea at first I found a little bit creepy until the flashback scenes and seeing lovely, charming smile. There you go another handsome hunk to add to my list.. He is playing a rich boy, who was in love with MiMi when she was a rose pageant MiMi had no idea about his feeling when they were in school, she influenced him to be a fashion designer, he studied in USA and became an award winning designer but had to return back to Taiwan when his grandma was sick or shall I say pretending to be sick. 

MiMi was dating her senior when in high school, when she got pregnant she had to give up all her dreams went to Taipei and gave birth, when she lost her job and her house she had to return back home.    

Jin Yang saw a little boy drawing, little boy left his drawings outside and disappeared for a while, our guy gets curious saw the drawing he likes it and completes it for him. 

MiMi is a tourist guide and she has tour bus, later on she uses that drawing on the bus. 

When he  Jin Yang first saw MiMi years later he had bad ideas about her, and all the misunderstandings starts which leads the way for the main couple fall in love. 

 MiMi is a strong character,  yes money minded she even admits that she loves money as she has a son to look after. 

He falls in love with MiMi, the time when MiMi decided to reply back his feelings. her ex shows up with his fiance. I do not know what to think of MiMi she's a very strong character that's for sure, raising a kid a single unmarried mother is hard and even harder in Asian culture. While in a relationship with MiMi ,  Jin Yang also matured. 

 I am angry to the writers they have not give us a chance to see MiMi Jin Yang love much, as soon as he opened herself to Jin Yang her ex Xu Ye showed up 

I don't know how to feel about the ex Xu Ye as well, yes he did not know about the kid but he did not told MiMi that he is going abroad, he was shocked by the news of a son just before his wedding, his own biological son is calling another man as dad, I think Ji Yang is born to be a dad even though he is not the dad of the little boy he shows more like a father figure, 

Mimi is right for not want her ex Xu Ye to see her son, he needs to consider himself as a sperm donor not more .  He was not a bad person, but he obeyed to his mother went to UK, and only tried calling once, he did not try it more.

We do have an evil mother in law and the sweetest sister in law of her ex Xu Ye

Funny enough sister in law was arrange to marry Ji Yang but when she understood that MiMi & Ji Yang loves each other she stepped aside.. and she supported their relationship. 

Good thing of this drama there are no 2nd leads trying to break up our couple. If there are some evilness but that doesn’t happen until ep 9 so take advantage of 8 episodes 

When her ex Xu Ye learns that he has a son, he convinces MiMi to move in and get married, although MiMi loves Ji Yang she agrees to move and marry, I believe she does it because Ji Yang is single and she doesn’t want him to feel guilty after a while marrying MiMi and becoming a dad for another man’s son, also his family is very conservative, they love MiMi but not yet ready to accept a woman with a kid. She also wants to marry her ex Xu Ye because he is the father of her son, she wants to give him a chance to have a life with his paternal dad.

Yes she decides to marry her ex Xu Ye goes to church, but before the wedding her ex Xu Ye tells her sister that I know she has Ji Yang on her heart, she only wants to marry me bec I am her son’s dad. 

I admit the kid doesn’t look like the main leads but on the church scene while sitting with granddad I said like a father like a son. I am not longer judge a drama with a kid involved, i am sure casting has got some ideas while chasing the child stars, although this kid is not as sweet as the one in Autumn’s Concerto he isn’t bad.. He’s quite sharp, understands who his ma loves much better than his mother. Tells his mother I’ll be happy with whoever you are.. He calls Ji Yang as Ji Yang dad. That was pretty sweet. 

At least Xu Ye was understanding 

She runs of from the wedding, goes to see her love, tells him that she’s sorry she should not have pretended like she does not love him, bang what happens than Ji Yang’s ex gf Rebecca who did not want to marry was back in town quite while ago and she’s been introduce as his fiancé and our girl runs away again. Yeah “runaway bride “

I actually cried on ep 13, her ex Xu Ye was not bad, it was not his choice to go overseas, planned by his mother, MiMi still tried to be with him for the sake of their son, but she loves another man, when they returned to their home, they found parcels and there were gifts for the son, a letter for MiMi and a bank book, money for their son that will be enough until he goes to college and he says this is the responsibility of a father, yes that’s what he understands from being a dad, giving money. 

He had visited them a couple of times but that’s it. 

With all those things happening MiMi goes off to USA, she doesn't return back until 8 years later. 

By this time she writes books in English and than our couple meets up again…… oppsie they still look young, he is still as hot as hell. 

We had Jasper Liu but I couldn’t spot him until the last minute.. Funny enough he is playing MiMi’s 18 year old son.. or even 19 years old.. and he’s calling Ji Yang Papa umm excuse me, there is only 2 years age gap in between Jasper Liu & Sunny Wang..  (that was insane either use a younger actor or do not disappear MIMI for 8 yrs, that's a long time, he could have easily been fed up of waiting and got married, had kids with another woman, we know that this guy likes kids,  his family expects a heir from him, now Ms MIMI you are almost 40, let's say you fall pregnant asap by the time you gave birth you'll be 39 and your son will be 20..   ah great 20 yrs old brother and a newborn sister or a bro.. I wonder what these writers are on while writing this drama, their brain must be cooked, or cracked from too much RIO, or wine...  No offense I am just kidding here. )

I would not wait anyone 8 years, forget about 8 years I won't wait anyone for more than 2 years.. 

They come together after 8 years and all they do is holding hands… big big boooo..

We also had a chance to see that Yao Ming (the reporter and MIMI's also back then he's the bbf of Li Yang and who had - still had crush on her) got married with Li Rou Yun (Xu Ye's younger sister) and she's pregnant. Wonder how that evil perfectionist mummy let her daughter marry him

Ah Grandma what have you done, you separated two lovers for such a long time...   

It's quite similar to the Korean Drama Sweet Secret Ah Reum (Shin So Yool) has a baby the paternal dad Philip( another hottie :p) (Yang Jin Woo) has no idea about it who learns about his child later on wants AH Reum and his kid back, our main lady is already in love with Sung Wun portrayed by (Kim Heung Soo) he also wanted his daughter and ex gf back, he even tried to kidnap her, the ending was much more better in Sweet Secret.  Sweet Secret was done in 2014 and Once Upon a Love was done 2 years before Sweet Secret.

When it comes to actor Matt Wu, I am sure I have seen him either as a cameo or supporting roles in some other recent dramas but I can not find any listed maybe there is an another actor who looks like him and I am confused.

Btw the actor’s english is purfecttt :))) he grew up in USA..
